Lifestyle: Another New Years Post
You’re probably really bored of these posts, and to be honest I wasn’t intending on putting together ramblings of the year just passed. I had a change of heart, I was looking back on some previous posts from a couple of years ago and it was a nice way to re-jog my memory and remember events or even cringe outfits I had forgotten about. I suppose this is almost like a diary, and will serve as a reminder of my youth once I’m thrown into proper adult life.
2014 had its ups and downs, like most people I assume. It felt like a filler year to me, I think because I’m still in University, nothing life changing can really happen when living on a student budget and constantly trying to get on top of that mound of assignments. Having said that I did have some great times, and I like to think I did achieve a thing or two career wise. I interned at Dune, Karen Millen and went back for a stint at Oh My Love. I worked on exciting blog projects with some fabulous companies. I fell in love with the city of Rome and although I didn’t get to travel as much as I had hoped, I can put this on the list for 2015.
I usually make a few ‘resolutions’ but I’d like to think of them more as goals. Realistically I’m not going to have a complete lifestyle overhaul overnight but there are of course aspects of my life I’d like to improve on and aspirations to fulfil…
For starters, I want to be more adventurous and get outside more. It may sound ridiculous but it suddenly struck me how much time is spent on my Macbook or refreshing Instagram. I want to get out, travel more and just DO more stuff. I’m kickstarting the year with a week in centre parcs with my best friend Rosie, which is just what I need. A week of laughing until we cry, getting outside, detoxing and of course a day at the spa. I can’t wait!
I suppose another had better be to FINALLY GRADUATE AND COMPLETE EDUCATION. I’ve been studying for 18 years of my life and I can safely say it’s getting slightly tedious. My journey to University was put off 2 years so I’ll be graduating at 23 which isn’t old by any means but boy will I be glad when it’s all over. IF I manage to get through third year #prayfortilly.
Other smaller goals include – read more books, put down my phone more often, build up my wardrobe of basics, buy less often but invest in quality pieces and adopt another bunny (or two).
I’d love to hear if you have any goals or ambitions for 2015!?
