Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been blogging?

I hit publish on my first blog post in 2011, but only started properly blogging in 2012, even then it was a hobby and project for me. I had dropped out of University (I decided to change course and so took a year out) so I had a lot of time on my hands. I was struggling to find a job thanks to the recession, and therefore blogging gave me a focus. I ended up bagging my first internship and securing a place on a fashion course at University thanks to my blog!

What did you do at University?

I studied Fashion Marketing and graduated with a First Class Honours.

What is your full time job?

Now there’s a question. My job is varied, which I love! I’m self-employed and work with a number of clients on social media management, content creation and SEO. My background is in digital marketing. I also work with brands as a blogger, I guess you could call me a freelance digital marketer, or content creator!

When did you go self employed?

I went fully self employed in August 2018, I left my full-time job in digital marketing to go freelance. I still work in digital marketing, but it gives me more flexibility to work on my blog related projects. I’m working on a series of blog posts which will give you a better insight into my career journey and current position, so stay tuned.

Where is your favourite destination?

This is hard because every time I go somewhere I love I claim it’s my new favourite place haha!

UK – Bath or Edinburgh (and London)

Europe – Lisbon and Copenhagen

US – California (more specifically Yosemite, San Diego, LA…)

Worldwide – Egypt

How do you maintain your hair colour?

Grey hair isn’t a new thing, but rewind a few years and I was constantly messaged asking about what products I use and how I achieve this colour. I’m naturally mousey brown, so I have my hair highlighted and then use the Bleach London Silver Shampoo. It’s amazing!
