Simba Sleep Mattress Review – Is It Worth The Money?
Someone recently made a comment that stuck with me “we spend almost half our lives in bed, why would you scrimp on a mattress”. I’d never really thought about it that way before, but it’s so true! Having a good quality mattress is so important for our sleep quality, backs, and bodies in general. There’s nothing worse than a night’s sleep on a cheap, uncomfortable mattress.
Our mattress has reached the stage in life where it’s time to go to mattress heaven. With that in mind it was time to find a suitable (and hopefully upgraded) replacement. I quite honestly wasn’t sure where to start, there are a hell of a lot of mattresses on the market, and even a quick Google search felt a little overwhelming.
I always think the best way to buy a new product is to go by word of mouth, and I’d heard great things about Simba mattresses from friends, so when they got in touch (ever so fortuitously!), it felt like it was meant to be.
Is the Simba mattress good quality?
When it comes to choosing a mattress, quality is absolutely paramount. Just a quick glance at the Simba website and you can be rest assured that these guys really know what they’re talking about. Their Hybrid mattress features signature technology which has been carefully designed to support your body for the best night’s sleep possible! The foam bases features 9 support zones designed to mirror the body, especially areas such as the hip (perfect, I am in my 30s now) and shoulders. An extra deep layer of Simbatex foam also adds elasticity for cushioning comfort. I am totally impressed by the quality of the mattress, and I can confirm after a few night’s sleep, it’s probably the comfiest mattress I’ve ever owned! It’s no wonder over half a million of these have been sold…
Why choose a Simba mattress?
For me, dragging myself (and toddler, just to paint an accurate picture here) around endless shops laying on 100’s of mattresses that other humans have also pretended to sleep on just does not sound appealing. I acknowledge that buying something like this online can be a risk BUT there is plenty of helpful advice and support on the Simba mattress website to help you with your purchase. I may sound like a sales lady here, I promise I’m not working on any sort of % sales commission, but I can’t fault the process. There’s also LOTS of reviews on their website to find out what other people also think. The convenience of having a mattress delivered in a box is also worth its weight in gold, especially when you live in a Victorian terraced house with a particularly awkward set of split staircases. For me, it was a no-brainer. Quality and convenience! P.s it’s also a nice little bonus that Simba is the UK’s first B-corp sleep brand, it’s always nice to know you’re supporting a business that truly cares about people and planet.
Is a Simba mattress worth the money?
It’s early days, but so far, I would say absolutely yes! The mattress looks and feels of premium quality, I’m having a much better night’s sleep in comparison to my previous mattress, and in terms of price, the Simba mattress is extremely competitive. I’m currently in the process of switching up my toddlers room, getting rid of the cot in favour of a double floor-bed, and I’ll definitely be investing in a Simba mattress for him too!
