X Jewellery Everyday Heroes
I was recently contacted by X Jewellery regarding a new and exiting project of theirs. Funnily enough, I actually attended the launch of X Jewellery at their Copenhagen head office a few years back. I therefore already has a soft spot for this brand and could’t wait to hear more about this campaign!
X Jewellery are a brand on a mission, and that mission is to empower women. Sounds interesting right? Their new 2017 calendar features 12 incredible women, each with their own inspiring story. Women from all around the world that pursued a dream, and have made a real difference to the lives of others. They aren’t household names, but they are everyday heroes.
The calendar itself is a beautiful monochrome design, and each monthly page showcases a different personal story. Each of these incredible women have overcome and drawn from their personal challenges in order to elevate others and it really is inspiring to read.
Proving that they’re committed to empowering women, as part of their 3 key promises, each year X Jewellery will donate 10% of their profits to the X Foundation. This is a foundation that aims to support women with an ambition, dream or project by providing necessary funding. Applications to be a part of the next generation of everyday heroes opens October 1st 2017 – so be sure to add this date to your diary if you think this could be you!
If you’re unfamiliar with X Jewellery and their exciting concept, then let’s back track a second. As I mentioned, the brand was launched a few years ago – back in 2013 to be precise and they launched with a clear message ‘made by you’. Their range of interchangeable bracelets are unique and allow you to mix and match links and charms. Pretty cool. You can create a bracelet that’s unique and meaningful to you, or to gift to a loved one.
X Jewellery invited me to create my own unique bracelet et voila, here is the result. I based it on their city skyline design but opted for black rubber links as I tend to wear a fair amount of black, and if it’s not black it’s usually grey! My bracelet also includes bronze links, silver links and the skyline link which I thought was totally cute and definitely reflects my desire to visit New York in 2017.
And it just get’s better…in collaboration with X Jewellery I’ll be running a competition on my Instagram, giving you the chance to win my design of bracelet! The winner will receive one bracelet plus a copy of the Everyday Heroes calendar, and two runners up will also receive a copy of the calendar. The competition will launch on Monday so be sure to enter!
