Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day gives everyone the chance to show their appreciation for the ones they love. No matter your relationship status, there are so many ways for you to enjoy this romantic date. Here are some of my favourites:

If you’re single

Just because you’re not in a relationship on Valentine’s Day, it doesn’t mean you can’t spend time with the ones you love the most. It’s time to set up that WhatsApp group or create a Facebook event, because you and the girls are going to get together for a cocktail night. From Cosmopolitans to Piña Coladas, it’s time to whip up some of your favourite delightful drinks, put some music on and get up to date with the latest gossip.

If you’re in a new relationship

Still in the honeymoon period? Lucky you! Make the most of your first Valentine’s Day together and choose an activity that will allow you to get to know each other better. Try indoor skydiving, an escape room, or a high-speed boat ride along the River Thames. These adventure days are perfect for couples that have so much more to learn about one another – and you’ll soon find out if your other half is a thrill-seeker or not!

If you’ve been with them a while

If you’re in a long-term relationship, you’ve probably spent every February 14th together for the last few years. In 2020, it’s time to change things up and do something different. Don’t call up to book a table for two at your favourite restaurant – go online to do some research into what exciting activities you can do instead. There are so many options out there to get you both out of your comfort zone – think a road trip to another city or taking the plunge with a lovers’ leap bungee jump!

If you’re married

If you’re married with a family, the chances are that you can probably think of nothing better than staying in at home with your loved one – child free! If someone can look after the kids overnight, take the opportunity to sit back, relax and watch TV as you tuck into some chocolates and reminisce on the unforgettable memories you’ve shared over the years.

No matter what you choose to do, I hope you all have fun!
