Christmas: It’s Party Season!
If you’re a fan of getting glammed up for a night out then Christmas is definitely the time of year for you! Although I mostly opt for nights in with a fluffy blanket, festive films and snacks, I do love heading out over Christmas and New Year! It’s a great excuse to buy that stunning dress, fluffy heels, embellished bags and other wow items that wouldn’t usually have a place in your year-round wardrobe.
Having attended a local business awards just the other week I did my fair share of internet scouring for an outfit. In the end I went with some killer heels, these Asos trousers and a plain white Zara bandeau for a minimal (but hopefully effective) look. I’m still on the hunt for a Christmas Eve outfit as well as something for New Years, I’ve narrowed it down to two very different outfits…
I don’t often go for dresses, I’ve always been a trouser girl or opt for a co-ord but I just love the detail of these sleeves. It’s the perfect little black dress and isn’t too fussy but has just the right amount of sass. I’ve paired it up with simple caged heels, a striped monochrome clutch and of course you have to top it off with a furry coat! It is bloody cold after all!
Outfit number two is a very me trouser and top combo, I love these smart flared trousers from River Island, I think they’d look FAB with the statement crop from Topshop with simple accessories. The Estella Bartlett necklace is so dainty, cute and simple which is definitely my preference for jewellery, I’m not really into big costume pieces! Sometimes a midi-heel is just right if your event involves a fair amount of walking, unless you’re a pro at doing all nighters in heels which I am not. I lost my heel tekkers a good few years ago.
Which outfit do you prefer? The LBD or the flares and crop?
