I was fortunate to recently receive a selection of Sk:n products to review, I was pretty excited as my skin has been really dry recently and was definitely in need of a pick me up! I’d never heard of Sk:n before but after doing a little research and discovering they’re experts in skincare and actually run a chain of popular skin clinics, I had high hopes.

And I wasn’t disappointed. The products I’ve been testing out are from the two main ranges which are the anti-ageing and anti blemish ranges. Now before you think, anti ageing? I know I’ve got grey hair but I’m not THAT old. The anti-ageing product I tested is actually for prevention designed for younger skin! So to make life easier, I’ve broken down the individual products to give my two cents for each.

Sk:n Anti-Blemish Pore Refining Lotion – I was really excited to try this as one of my main annoyances with my skin is the pores on my nose. I generally have fairly clear skin and suffer minimal breakouts but I can never seem to get rid of these pores. I’ve been using this lotion specifically on the area I want to target as advised. There was a slight tingly feeling when I first started using it but nothing painful or alarming! I’ve been using it everyday after cleansing and moisturising and I can genuinely see results which really excites me as I’ve been trying to sort these god damn pores out for years. They’re less visible and my nose area is also a lot less oily.

Sk:n Age Delaying Cream – this cream really appealed to me as it acts as a preventative to ageing, I suppose I won’t know if this has worked until I start hitting older age haha but I really do like this product. As a day cream it really moisturises and hydrates my skin. My skin feels softer than ever before from using it and I will definitely repurchase this as my staple once this one runs out!

Sk:n Anti-Blemish Control System – I’ve been using this in the mornings before I used the pore refining lotion. I’m lucky that I don’t suffer to many blemishes but I actually found it to be a nice base before I put my makeup on. I’ve found that my face (particularly my T-zone) gets less oily throughout the day since I’ve been using this which has resulted in my makeup staying put a lot better than usual.

Sk:n Cleanse -I was really excited to try this as I’ve been looking for a micellar water to replace my current one as I found out it’s not cruelty free. I was worried as I do wear a fair amount of eye makeup but my makeup glided off with no problem, I just used a cotton pad and a few drops of the cleansing water and my skin felt totally clean after use.

Sk:n Brightening & Firming Eye Cream – this product is part of the anti-ageing range and unlike the preventative cream, is targeted at aged skin. I actually decided to pass this to my mum to give her review of it! The cream is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. She say’s “since using the cream around my eyes morning and evening the fine lines around my eyes are a little less obvious, I’m looking forward to there being less black circles! I’ll report back in a few weeks”.

I have to give these products a massive thumbs up, my skin feels amazing and it’s exactly what it needed. I’ll update you in a few weeks to let you know a little progress report and how I’m getting on with the products still.

Oh and it’s worth noting too that Sk:n do NOT test on animals! This was a really big selling point for me before I even tried the products as I try to keep my cosmetics as cruelty free as possible. Well done Sk:n!

*Although these products were sent to me for review, my opinion as always is honest!
