  >  Travel   >  London’s best rooftop bars you need to visit this summer

Advert – post in collaboration with Fishpools

It feels like summer has finally arrived, hoorah! The sun is shining and I can’t wait to start putting all my plans into action. On the list so far; visit the Hitchin lavender field, spend a weekend in Brighton, explore the Norfolk coast, and spend more time in London. Despite living a 40-minute train from Kings Cross, I tend to only head into the city for meetings or press events. Every summer Charlie and I talk about how we should spend more time discovering London’s hidden gems and rooftop bars, we just never seem to get around to it. Now that I’m self-employed it gives me a bit of extra flexibility to hop on the train on a Sunday without having to worry too much about work the next day.

After a little bit of research, we created a note in our phones with all the best bars in London we want to hit up from now until the end of summer, and I thought I’d share them with you! Here are a few that we can’t wait to visit for cocktails…and beer for Charlie.

Madison Rooftop

Who doesn’t love a rooftop bar? Offering beautiful views of St Pauls Cathedral, Madison rooftop bar is high up on my list to visit. Not only does it offer the best views they have regular DJ sessions, and even rooftop yoga! I would love to try that one day. The interior and various rooftop terraces definitely give me New York/Sex and the City vibes! I’ll make mine a Cosmopolitan, please.

Radio Rooftop

I’ve seen a few posts about Radio rooftop bar on Instagram, and on the Fishpools lifestyle blog. Situated at the top of ME hotel, this is another great option if you want to capture the best views of the city and nail that Instagram snap. Overlooking the Thames and landmarks including Big Ben, you can spend a chilled afternoon soaking up the ambience. They also serve afternoon tea which I’ve heard great things about, so it’s definitely one to check out sooner rather than later.

Netil360

Netil360 is located just by London Fields, which is where I used to dash around as a fashion intern during my University years. Not only is this a gorgeous rooftop bar, Netil360 has so much more going on from film showings to food pop-ups, events, and even yoga classes! It’s the perfect escape from the centre of the city if you want to avoid the main tourist traps and hustle and bustle.

The Boundary

I love Shoreditch, it’s one of my favourite places to mooch around and enjoy a vegan kebab. Next time I’m feasting on plant-based delights I’ll definitely be stopping by The Boundary. Located on top of one of Shoreditch’s swankiest hotels, this bar oozes casual Mediterranean vibes that are totally up my street. I’ll take a Passion Mintand a side of fries…

The Culpeper

Is it a bar or an urban garden? This rooftop joint in Aldgate definitely ticks all the boxes for me in terms of aesthetics, in case you didn’t know, I have a thing for plants. The giant light-up cucumber gets my vote if nothing else. There’s also a food menuwhich offers a number of sharing dishes as well as mains, sides (that tenderstem broccoli has my name on it) and desserts.

Roll on those summer days and hazy evenings! Do you have many plans for the summer, will you be trying out any of these bars? I’d love to hear any recommendations or thoughts on the above.

I’d love to go to a rooftop bar – I always see people posting photos but never know where they’ve found the bar! I’ve popped these in my notes for next time I go to London, thank you for writing this! x
