Growing up in this age of social media means we’re so switched on to all the amazing things everyone else seems to be doing, whilst you’re sitting in your sweats watching Netflix with a tub of Ben & Jerry’s to your side – no? just me? I’ve always been a keen traveller, relishing any opportunity to explore a new place, I tend to live in a bit of a dreamworld as it is (apparently a pisces trait) so I spend a lot of time daydreaming about travelling across America or quitting life to sit on a beach everyday. Oh I can dream.

The annoying thing about being a student is travels are limited due to the limiting student budget, yet, you have all the time in the world! Now I’m working full time I have a regular income, but less time so you can never seem to win hey. That being I plan to make the most of all my time off and weekends, whether that be holidays abroad or spending a weekend somewhere new in Europe.

I’ve put together a few places that are high on my list of travels, if you’ve been to any of these places I would love to hear your thoughts, advice and any recommendations!

Bali

Bali seems to be becoming increasingly popular, and it’s easy to see why. I would love to spend a couple of weeks living the island life, with minimal use of my phone just chilling and drinking out of coconuts.

San Francisco

There’s something about this city that has appealed to me for quite some time. I’m keen to visit all parts of America but San Francisco is somewhere I’d particularly like to go, I also really want to visit Alcatraz so it’s definitely up there on my list.

Venice

I ADORE Italy. I’ve spent my past two summers exploring Sorrento and Rome, both of which I completely fell in love with. There’s lots of other areas I would like to see but Venice is a must-do, I just need to persuade Charlie to take me. Ahem.

Amsterdam

I still struggle to believe that I’m yet to visit Amsterdam with it being so close, but alas I am yet to wander the streets of Dam. I’m thinking of perhaps visiting around December time!

Cuba

A bit of a wild card but the beauty of Cuba has always appealed to me, along with the vintage cars that line the streets – well from what I’ve seen on the internet!

Stockholm

I’ve never been to Sweden but I imagine it’s somewhere really enjoy going, if just for the people watching and trendy vibes.

Santorini

I’m a big fan of Greece, I’ve visited a few times in my life from a crazy 18-30 holiday in Kos to a couples only hotel in Rhodes. Both very different experiences but equally fun! I know a few friends who have been to Santorini and the photos looked AMAZING so definitely my next ‘week in the sun’ type of holiday.

So there we have it, are any of these destinations on your travel bucket lists?
