The older I get the more I’m tempted to splurge my extra cash on a damn good looking chair as opposed to that designer bag I’ve been lusting over. Ugh I feel old! Over the past year to two I’ve definitely developed a thing about chairs, endless scrolling of Pinterest has got my yearning for a little velvet number just like the one I spied on FindDesign. This place is chair heaven!

If you’re new to FindDesign then let me give you a little intro, launched at the beginning of 2017 FindDesign is an interior haven founded by Sarena Shetty. With a focus on design-led products, Sarena wanted to curate the very best of interiors in one handy place on the web, and that’s when FindDesign was born. Built on a passion for home and design, you can find quirky accessories, berber style rugs, statement chairs and the very best of storage solutions. Sarena basically does the hard work so we don’t have to!

Here are my top 10 picks from the site…

All products can be found via FindDesign

Okay so I have to talk about THAT blue chair first, I have no navy blue in my house but I’m just so drawn to it, I feel like it could be worth creating a space around it that fits in just so I can own it. Too far? The tall-back chair is another favourite of mine, sophisticated and a real focus piece of furniture. I can just imagine it in my lounge with a standout cushion, perched next to an extra tall cactus or banana plant – very chic!

Generally I tend to prefer to keep my interiors minimal with a few quirks, for example a patterned rug or interesting lighting. The iconic grey bell pendant light is 100% up my street, I love Scandinavian style interior design and this ticks all the boxes. I think the simple pieces can be the most effective and of course, stylish. I think it’s safe to say the long-lived marble trend isn’t going anywhere, and the clock is such a statement piece. I think I can hear my kitchen crying out for it!

A project that I’ve tasked myself with for the summer is doing up my bedroom, I’m going to get rid of my built in wardrobes in favour of a cleaner, simpler layout. The chest of drawers is just what I’ve been looking for, aka the perfect destination for all of the junk I want to hide from my clean, minimalist home. Come on, we all have a ‘Monica cupboard’ don’t we? I love the contemporary vibe and I was quite impressed with the price too.

What’s your favourite piece from my top 10? Do you find you veer toward homeware the older you get? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
