So a slightly different post today, the other week an email dropped into my inbox inviting me to my local Gant store (Cambridge fyi) to have a tour of the latest collections and learn a little more about Gant. I was also introduced to the latest Rugger collection, which really took me back as it’s definitely not the picture of Gant I had in mind. Firstly, I thought it was mainly a menswear brand and mostly shirts for businessmen types and retired 60 something living the yacht life.

Totally wrong!

Gant has not only got a great women range of signature shirts and classic trench coats, but the new Rugger line offers a more contemporary offering for the younger customer. And I’m sold!

Longline bomber jackets, silk shirts. pinstripes and cut off denim make for a collection that I would most definitely purchase from.

But back to the store visit. I hopped along into the city centre to meet the ever so lovely store manager.

She talked me through their current window displays (a very nautical themed affair) and all about the brand, the brand history and their aim to be the no.1 destination for good quality shirts. It was great to find out more about a brand that hadn’t previously been on my radar and I spied some great pieces in store including a gorgeous trench coat (see below!) and some fabulous jersey basics. You can just feel the great quality of every piece in Gant and it’s definitely worth the extra £.

Part of the reason for my store visit was to test out Gants new click and collect service. I love click and collect, as it makes it SO much easier to pick it up in your own time when it suits you rather than coming home to a missed parcel card!gant store visit
I was lucky enough to pick out a piece from the new Rugger collection to collect. I opted for this gorgeous silk pyjama style shirt. Isn’t it lovely?
