So firstly, I’m not a beauty blogger nor do I claim to be an expert. I do however like to try out new products, read lots of beauty blogs and generally just take an interest in the world of beauty. I thought I would just do a monthly roundup post of what I’ve been using, I don’t want to post about products on a regular basis as my blog is really a style/fashion blog and I want to keep it that way for now. I thought a monthly summary might be a good idea though. I’ll stop rambling now but do let me know what you think! Here goes:

So firstly I dipped my toe into the world of Liz Earle. Having heard a lot about their products I thought I must try some out. I’ve been really trying to get into a skincare routine as I used to just use a bit of St Ives scrub with water. My skin isn’t particularly problematic but I know it could feel a lot better. I really enjoyed using these products, the cleanse and polish made my skin feel so lovely and soft. It actually felt really clean for once, it was great at removing my usually stubborn make-up and didn’t leave my skin feeling tight and dry as it usually does with a make-up wipe. Fabulous! I will definiteley be re-purchasing this and the muslin cloths are only £4 for a pack of two which I thought was reasonable.

Next up I tried the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I’ve never used a toner before so I was really keen to use this one. I found it so refreshing for my skin and I also found it scooped up any make up the cleanse and polish had missed. I just poured a little onto a cotton pad and wiped it around my face and felt instantly revitalised and fresh. I was recommended by the Liz Earle lady to seal it with a moisturiser but I didn’t really want to buy another product without testing a couple out first. My skin used to be quite sensitive so I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t have a reaction with Liz Earle but it’s been fine so I will definitely purchase a moisturiser next.

Now I know a posh shower gel is not a necessity but I didn’t actually buy this myself! This is the Liz Earle orange botanical body wash. I *think* it retails at £11.50. Firstly the scent is amazing, the best smelling shower gel I’ve ever tried! It’s so invigorating and helps wake me up a little in the morning. It lathers up very well and feels really luxurious. It left my skin feeling soft and smelling sweet. I don’t have much else to say other than if you’re in the market for a high end body wash then I recommend this!

As I said earlier I’d never tried a toner until recently and as I have a growing obsession for skincare I thought I’d try out another cheaper one. I’ve been wanting to try some Lush products for a while and picked this up when I was Cambridge. I think it cost about £3.95 for this small bottle and I actually love it.  I used it a lot when we were having a few hot days just to hydrate my skin in the sun. It feels amazing, made with fresh sea water it actually feels like you’re on holiday dipping your face into the sea. It made my skin feel healthy and instantly refreshed when feeling a bit sticky and gross. A great product if you’re looking for something to hydrate your skin at a really bargain price. I will definitely buy this again and might try a couple of the other scents too.

I hope you don’t mind the variation in post today, as I said it will just be a monthly round-up. Let me know your thoughts and also if you’ve tried any of these products. What did you think?
